Ylig watershed

Ylig watershed is located in the south of Chalan Pago Village, and the north of Talofofo Village. It has a drainage area of 16.08 sq. miles. The main rivers in the watershed include Ylig River, Togcha River, Tarzan River and Manengon River with approximate lengths of 6.83 miles, 2.56 miles, 2.41 miles and 1.93 miles respectively. Tarzan River and Manengon River discharge to Ylig River, which drains to Ylig Bay in the Pacific Ocean. Togcha River discharges to Togcha Bay in the Pacific Ocean. The highest elevation is about 1024 feet (312 meters) in the northwestern boundary of the watershed. The vegetated area is about 73.9%, and the urban area including urban cultivated area is about 24.8%. The soil types mainly include Ylig clay, Akina silty clay, Akina-Atate silty clays, Sasalaguan clay, Pulantat-Kagman clays, Pulantat clay, Inarajan clay, Chacha clay, Chacha variant clay, badland, Agfayan clay, Togcha-Akina silty clays, Togcha-Ylig complex, Shioya loamy sand, rock and urban land complex.
