Clifflines with shaded relief

About this map:

This map shows the extent of cliffs in southern Guam in conjunction with hillshaded terrain (hypsometric tinted shaded relief). The lines indicating cliffs were digitized on-screen, based on visual interpretation of the representation of degree of slope made from a 4-meter resolution LiDAR-derived DEM. The original LiDAR data were collected in 2007 by JALBTX for the Government of Guam. Cliffs are taken to generally have a slope greater than 60 degrees. This dataset was created by Island Research & Education Initiative for the purposes of this atlas.
