Southern Guam geospatial information server
About this map:
This map shows the locations of named populated places in southern Guam, as contained in the Geographic Names Information System (GNIS). The GNIS is the official database that contains all standard toponyms in the United States of America and its territories. It was developed by the United States Geological Survey (USGS) in cooperation with the United States Board on Geographic Names (BGN) in order to standardize place names. This map contains two layers of geospatial data: all populated places, taken directly from GNIS dataset for Guam, and a subset thereof, which shows the major populated places (essentially the points considered to be village centers of each municipality in southern Guam).
