Download data for use in Google Earth™

This page includes download links for two types of files for use in Google Earth™ software. Geospatial data files are written in Keyhole Markap Language (KML) and are significantly different from shapefiles and similar data used in GIS applications. Download KML files from the list below and simply open them using Google Earth™ software. The other option are "overlay" files. These are GeoTIFF image files that contain maps in raster form. Download them on your hard drive and use "import" function in Google Earth™ to view them. They will open up as images overlying base Google Earth™ graphics in proper locations. If you do not have Google Earth™, access it here.
